A photo of the North Sea beach, taken from the west side of Texel.
The weather is very changeable, with strong winds. A very dramatic cloudy sky is visible. In the distance, you can see that it is raining at sea as a dark column comes down from the clouds. There are dark clouds visible but also blue sky and white clouds.
On the right-hand side of the picture, another part of the sandy beach is visible, which is full of shells and washed-up objects. The foam of the waves lights up nicely as the sun shines on it. The surf makes a diagonal line at the bottom of the picture.
The camera's point of view is quite low so proportionally more of the sky is visible than of the land and sea.
It was really changeable weather that day as we know it well in the Netherlands. A downpour followed by sunshine and everything in between.
In this image, the elements are purely depicted.
