Cessna O-2A Super Skymaster.
Registration: N590D.
The Cessna O-2 Super Skymaster (nicknamed Oscar Deuce) is a military version of the Cessna 337 Super Skymaster used by the US Army for Forward Air Control (FAC) and Psychological Warfare Operations (PSYOPS) between 1967 and 2010.
The aircraft is a so-called push-pull aircraft. An aircraft built with a push-pull configuration consists of a combination of a pull propeller at the front of the fuselage and a push propeller at the rear of the fuselage.
Psychological warfare, also known as psychological operations or PSYOP, is the use of non-military means to influence an enemy's opinions, emotions and behaviour, with the aim of undermining their support for an opponent and improving one's own position. This includes spreading propaganda and information, for example through pamphlets, to demoralise, discourage or turn a hostile population against its own leaders.
