The Common Basilisk, also known as the "Jesus Christ Lizard," is famous for its remarkable ability to run short distances across water. The Common Basilisk has a slender body, a long tail, and large hind legs with skin flaps that help it stay on the water's surface. This ability to run swiftly over water serves as a strategy to escape predators. The Common Basilisk is found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. Its range extends from southern Mexico to Ecuador and Colombia. They are typically found in humid, forested areas near freshwater sources like rivers, streams, and lakes. This habitat provides both food and shelter from predators. The Common Basilisk is diurnal and spends much of its time in trees and shrubs, where it feeds on a diet of insects, small vertebrates, fruit, and leaves.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
