This ecoprint is made with various wild plants such as bird vetch, narrow plantain and lesser coltsfoot. Crush on Nature almost always works only with wild plants. But the starring role in this ecoprint is for the double cattail: the amaranthus. This is from my garden but was such'a nice addition to the wild plants. An ecoprint is made by letting plants react naturally with fabric and leave a nice clear print. In this case, I also added colour. the warm orange of sandalwood. Boiling these wood chips gives you a nice natural pigment. The cloth on which the ecoprint is made is dyed with this pigment and I added an additional dark colour area over the plants. The plants in this print have beautiful spiritual meanings. The narrow plantain, the green leaf on the bottom right, connects you to the source and clarifies your path. And the finely feathered leaf of the bird vetch represents modesty and grace. But above all, this is a lovely warm image that subtly brings nature into your interior.
