This image was made using the ecoprint technique. In this, I let the plants make a print on cotton in a steam bath. In this case, a soft flannel which creates a beautiful, diffuse image. Because the leaves in the background partially overlap each other and create a blurred image. It could be a landscape or a rock formation, this image lets your imagination run wild. In the foreground you can see two flower panicles of wild sorrel. In the background, a single leaf of the soft stork-beak.
All the plants I have used come from around my studio and are common wild plants. We also call these weeds.
With my studio Crush on Nature, I create interior applications with these wild plants. Because I believe weeds don't exist, I apply them in a way that they catch your eye and amaze you with fascinating details. Take a good look at them and get to know them, because those 'weeds' are our close nature.
