Rotterdam at its most beautiful: this photo shows the Erasmus Bridge shining during the golden hour, as the city prepares for evening. From the air, you can see the sleek lines of the bridge, the dynamics of the water and the impressive skyline with its modern towers. What immediately struck me while taking this photo was the special perspective; how the bridge watches over the Maas like a white giant, connecting the city.
My inspiration came from the energy and optimism that Rotterdam exudes. The golden light of the sunset gave a warm glow over the buildings and provided an almost magical contrast to the cool colours of the water. This image tells the story of progress, strength and connection - exactly what Rotterdam is known for.
