About ‘Evening glow in the vineyard’ by Marcel Hechler

On this autumn evening, I walked up through the vineyards near Roßwag, simply to watch the day draw to a close. Between two rows of vines, a narrow grassy path opens up, running in a straight line towards the sun. At that very moment, it sank behind the hills, and the light broke into delicate rays across the path.

On the left, the leaves have already turned deep shades of copper and red; on the right, the vines still retain their green — as if autumn were colouring the two sides at different paces. In the haze at the end of the path, everything is lost in the warm backlight, whilst a new row of vines catches the last rays.

I was captivated by this blend of order and warmth: the strict rows of vines and, above them, that soft, golden glow. It is an image that exudes tranquillity yet still radiates from within.

Hanging on a wall, this warm shade brings depth and a sense of cosiness to a room — above the sofa, in the dining area or wherever you like to settle down in the evening. A quiet slice of the Württemberg wine country for your home.
