Trees are fascinating!
I every season trees are interesting to see and certainly to photograph. In spring, fresh green leaves appear on the bare branches. In summer, the tree shines in full splendour in the summer sun and in autumn the leaves turn warm shades of orange, red and yellow. But in winter, as far as I am concerned, trees are the most fascinating and inspiring. A bare tree beautifully shows its silhouette and radiates even more power.
And a tree in winter silhouette deserves to be photographed beautifully.
I photographed this tree with backlighting. The sunlight gives the branches and trunk a special frame of light. The light from the sun along the branches and trunk makes the bare tree shine even more.
The picture is combined with a photo of a beautiful soft-coloured cloudy sky. The pastel shades in the clouds add a fairytale-like, enchanting and romantic atmosphere to the final natural artwork. All the sunlight turns into a pastel-coloured mist that enchants the tree and the forest around it. It also looks like there is a kind of snow covering the branches and grass.
This also created a nice contrast between the hard tree trunk along with the bare branches and the soft pastel shades used.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
