A cormorant on the bank drying its wings on the air. They do that after a underwater hunt. Their wings have no water-repellent coating, so they can dive deeper. But the wings get totally soaking wet and saturated underwater. They have to let them dry in the air while keeping an eye on their surroundings for danger. For example, someone close-by could be busy with a camera. So he stood there with his wings wide and his gaze fixed on me. He never let me out of his sight for a second.
