I found this heron on the neighbour's shed checking out our garden. Not a quick look and gone, no, he was first on the neighbour's shed, then on the upstairs neighbours' cat run, then on our shed again, and then in our garden. A heron can be recognised by its white-grey plumage, long bill, black piercing eyes, a crest at the back of its head, and a long pliant neck with a pattern of black spots.
For fun, I developed the picture in high-key and made it more abstract. Lots of white so the neckline disappears into the background. You'll just have to think of that to complete.
