The fascinating distortion of the city, which is lost in the waves of the canal. Instead of clear contours, the colours and shapes of the buildings are fused together in irregular, flowing patterns. The facades of the historic palaces seem to transform into amorphous splashes of colour that are gently reflected in the water. Bright reflections from windows and balconies break up into kaleidoscopic fragments and dissolve almost completely in the shimmering movements of the water. The sky and the soft waves of the canal blend into a blurred dance of pastel colours that seems to dissolve the boundary between reality and reflection. The result is a feeling of fluidity and transcendence, as if the city itself is floating in its own reflections and losing itself in an endless, organic movement.
