In this abstract, surreal photograph, you have worked with artificial reflectors to create a fascinating transformation: three-dimensional objects become a flat, two-dimensional representation. The photograph captures a world in which the usual depth of space is lost and shapes and structures flicker on the picture surface. By playing with the reflectors, the space is distorted and the dimensions shift. What originally had volume and perspective now appears flat and surreal, as if it manifests itself in another dimension or a dream.
The reflections of the reflectors create a kind of kaleidoscopic interplay of lines, light and shadow that fragments the forms and makes them appear in a new, almost surreal order. The elements no longer appear tangible or real, but exist in a parallel, abstracted world in which space and time merge.
The colours are possibly reduced, perhaps in shades of grey or with subtle, almost imperceptible nuances, which intensifies the surreal effect and creates a certain melancholy. The composition appears fluid and unstable, as if it could change with every second. This transformation from 3D to 2D invites the viewer to question the usual perception of space and reality, while the image itself evokes an atmosphere of dream and illusion.
