For a contest where they asked me to portray Mary Poppins at the time of corona, I made this illustration. After all, her umbrella is magical! She can fly with it, so as soon as someone does nothing, she pulls it open to stop the drops. This was before the introduction of mouthguards, so that's why.
Mary Poppins would use her magical powers in all sorts of ways during the time of corona, which can be seen in other work on the same theme. Also nice to have on the wall outside of corona time.
The technique is mixed media; it is a collage of paper and cardboard with drawing-like elements in fineliner.

My work distinguishes itself by strong colours and clear shapes. I work with ecoline, ink and pencil, but I also like to cut and paste.
I get my inspiration from nature and like to daydream. Animals and people sometimes seem to melt together in these reveries.
