About ‘Mermina and Mermomma, embracing’ by Karolina Grenczyk

A cat mother lovingly holds her cat baby as it looks at her smiling. She supports the baby with her hand, while the tail fin hangs over her arm and probably moves up and down.

It is a loving and imaginative scene. The mermaid's hair looks wet as it flutters in the wind and the warmth between them is palpable. The cat's little hands grip the woman's arm tightly.

For this autonomous illustration, I used two techniques, ecolint on paper and paper cutting. This gives the work extra dimension.

The colours give the work a vintage feel and the image evokes both wonder and joy.

As a water lover, I sometimes fantasise about what it would be like if my cat could join me on my sea adventures. This then manifests itself in work accordingly.

This work will undoubtedly appeal to people with a love of fantasy stories, myths about mermaids and sirens, and cat mums and dads!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
