A whimsical pattern in deep red is surrounded by parts of a dead snake. I found this snake on our land. After drying, it was very fragile. It disintegrated into parts. I attached those parts scattered throughout this collage. The blue, sometimes purple, drop shapes are petals, of the poppy. They always turn purple when you dry them. The acrylic paint and glue varnish made them more blue. A lovely colour, which goes well with the bits of blue silk. The little yellow flowers are also from my garden. No idea what they are. I enjoy everything in my garden without knowing what everything is called and where it comes from. That includes the green stalk with gossamer leaves and seed pod, at the top of the collage.
The deep red hands at the top centre and bottom right of the collage, are a few more clippings from a magazine. They come from the artwork '10 am is When You Come to Me' by Louise Bourgeois and are called 'Friendly hands'. The collage is 'framed' with washi tape and clippings from an art magazine. The movement in this collage is supported on the bottom right by a feather and on the bottom left by a wide sprig of flowers.
