Charles Bridge (Czech: Karlův most) is a bridge built in the 14th century over the Vltava River. It connects Prague's Old Town on the right bank with the Lesser Town on the left. It is the oldest preserved bridge over the Vltava and one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe. The bridge was given its current name after Emperor Charles IV in 1870 and is considered a symbol of the city.
The Bedřich Smetana Museum is dedicated to the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana and is located in the centre of Prague directly on the Vltava River.
