In nature park Lentevreugd in Wassenaar, Netherlands walk Scottish highlanders and konik horses.
Walking is allowed as long as you keep enough distance from the animals. Especially when there are foals or calves it is wise to keep some extra distance from the animals. After all, they remain fairly wild animals even though they look reasonably calm and are not easily impressed by walkers.
The Scottish Highlander is a long-haired cattle breed that, as the name suggests, originates from Scotland. They come in black, but mostly we see them in red. Blond animals also occur.
The horns of the cows stick up at the end, while those of the bulls stick straight out.
