About ‘Spring is here!’ by Sander Poppe

It is finally spring in the Netherlands and nature is coming alive around the iconic windmills of Kinderdijk. Trees are in full bloom and along the waterlines, flowers colour the landscape. A walk through Alblasserwaard, towards the world-famous Kinderdijk windmills, is highly recommended at this time of year for anyone who wants to enjoy the typical Dutch polder landscape. Especially when a small tree along the water is in full blossom, you can enjoy all the beauty around you.

The area around Kinderdijk, located in the green heart of the Alblasserwaard, is not only a paradise for walkers, but also for photographers. The changing light, the reflection of the windmills in the water and the rustic atmosphere make this UNESCO World Heritage Site a unique place. Even if it is not always possible to go out, a short visit to Kinderdijk is a special experience, especially when it is so close to home.

We don't always realise it, but the Netherlands has so many hidden gems. Stop for a moment, breathe in the fresh spring air and enjoy the stunning views of the windmills, water and flowering trees. Kinderdijk in spring is pure enjoyment - a place where you can really take in the beauty of our country.

Hello, my name is Sander Poppe. I am a landscape and seascape photographer, born in Zeeland and living in the Alblasserwaard region of the Netherlands. Nature, and especially the sea, is the common thread running through my life and photography.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
