Nature has many fascinating aspects. There is always something to discover in nature and therefore always something to photograph.
What always inspires me are the leaves of plants and trees. Leaves have different shapes, different colours, different structures, different patterns and the veins of the leaves always form a different pattern.
I often photograph leaves dried. Dried leaves are beautifully flat and have a different colour than a leaf that comes directly from the tree or plant. This other colour is often warmer and therefore often has a vintage look. I love the old warm colours that come from drying and give a photo that extra atmosphere.
This leaf is from a houseplant, the leaf begonia (Begonia Rex). This plant has beautifully shaped leaves with an unusual pattern and structure.
Dried, this leaf shows the beautiful pattern of the veins better. This leaf deserves a nice photo!
In terms of technique, I didn't change much to the photo here. The macro photo of the leaf only got a nice soft-coloured background.
A beautiful wall decoration that looks great in a natural interior.
I see making art as a creative process.
The starting point of this process for me is always a photo or a painting of my own. Every work of art on this site is therefore based on a self-made photo or painting.
I find my sources of inspiration in everything around me...
