The sun slowly sinks behind the horizon, colouring the sky over the Wadden area in shades of orange, pink and gold. Against this breathtaking backdrop, a flock of birds migrates across the calm water. The sky and mudflats almost flow into each other, linked by the rhythmic flapping of the birds' wings as they follow their course to a new destination.
It is a timeless moment, where nature and movement merge into one harmonious whole. The Wadden Sea, with its ebb and flow, is a resting place for countless migratory birds. Here they find space, food and the silence of the tide. There is both dynamism and stillness in this scene, a reminder of the larger rhythm of life that takes place apart from our human agenda. An ode to the seasons, migration, and the wonder of nature unfolding day by day.
