Sunset walking on the North Pier
People walking on Wijk aan Zee's Noordpier. The sun sets the harbour beacon is waiting the ships. The golden glow in the sky the water of the sea darkens a little. The small waves lapping at the blocks protecting the pier. A nice photo for on the wall with a nice view.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photos, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.
