About ‘The Sa Calobra climb’ by Iwan Appels

This is perhaps the most famous road among racing cyclists. A road of 9.4km and 26 hairpin bends. This road is famous and located in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains in Mallorca.

Looking for the lines and the light. Just after sunrise, the lines reveal them self in this photo. Finding the right spot took several days. When I saw the mountains, I immediately wanted to go here. I may not have ride the road by bike, but the experience in a car was just as cool.

Warm and powerful. Those are the two words that come to mind in this picture. Warmth of the sun that beautifully illuminates the mountains and the power of the Coll dels Reis.

When I look at the photo and look back at this beautiful memory of the location and the work that went into this, I get a proud and happy feeling. I therefore think back to a period of gratitude that I was allowed to make this journey with my family.

Simplicity makes this photo strong. I thought it was important not to use all kinds of equipment. The work is mainly finding the right location and light.

This works stands for race cyclist, driving, but of course beautiful trips and nature.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
