The Zaanse Schans on a stormy river Zaan.
Armed with a camera I walked to the Zaanse Schans. Once there, you see the windmills standing on the calfskin dike. Tormented by the storm the wind howling in the sails. The waves ravaging the dike. Will the Zaanland landscape stay dry or will the dike break through. The foam heads on the waves draw extra the rain in the sky,
The river Zaan a wild churning river chased by the storm. The windmills creaking at the seams stand proudly with their sails in the storm. The Zaanse Schans is always a source of inspiration for me.
The landscape in this storm raw disturbed and days later calm and friendly again. That difference is beautiful to capture with the camera.
The storm is always a sign for me to go out. On the waterfront at the river or by the sea those are my beautiful adventures.

Zaankanteropavontuur.
Always on adventure and looking for industrial landscapes and details. And I do a lot of street photography. Walking through the streets, old villages and city centers.
I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
