About "The handy magpie. Digital art"

About the artwork

A digital collage of a magpie whose lower half is a human hand. The creature sits on a thick branch held by the hand. On the middle finger of the hand is a purple eye, as if it were an ornament. From the magpie's back you can still see feathers that are white and black and a little transparent. These are derived from scanned magpie wing feathers from which a brush has been made. These also come from the tail but from a scanned magpie tail feather.
The colour theme is black and white with iridescent colours that you also see in the magpie, purple blue and shades of green.
In the background, you can see blossom flowers derived from another drawing from which a brush was also made.
This collage was made in Pro create a digital drawing programme on the tablet.
Magpies are my favourite birds. They are beautiful to look at and in practice they seem quite cheeky. Yet it is often quite difficult to approach them up close. Magpies have a bad name because they are cheeky and do rob young birds from other nests. But they just are who they are. For me, they have a special place in my heart, also because they look so beautiful et their shiny feathers and high contrast in black and white.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
