The trees standing along the border of 2 stretches of meadow accentuate the perspective and give the picture depth. The dark branches in the front tree meander gracefully through the light foliage. The second tree in the row consists of 2 trunks or rather its two trees, each trying to find space to a different side. In the distance, cows stand and lie grazing and ruminating. In the foreground, we can see the fence surrounding the cattle. Windblown streaks of condensation in the sky form veil clouds that give the light blue sky an even softer hue.
The hard shadows of the trees on the field (characteristic of Infrared light), make the image even more dynamic. This photo was taken from Koepelallee in Dalfsen not far from river Vecht (Overijselse) and Stuw Vechterweerd. Having photographed extensively at the sluice without result, I cycled on and passed this initially unremarkable spot. As I passed, I noticed this row of trees and stepped off to take a closer look. It was only on looking back at the images that I was immediately convinced of their beauty. The appeal of the image probably has to do with the division of the image according to the rule of thirds and the golden ratio.
From my exhibition in Amsterdam (Orange Church until November 26, 2023), I decided to open this shop after all the extremely enthusiastic responses.
With me you will find landscape photography inspired by both nature and architecture. I sometimes also use an infrared camera. I am completely self-taught..
