The picture shows a multitude of water droplets spread across a colourfully illuminated plastic surface. The drops vary in size and shape, giving the motif an organic dynamic. The targeted lighting in blue, red, green and yellow creates lively reflections that are mirrored in the drops and transform the picture into a colourful interplay of light and structure.
The idea for this work arose from an experiment with light, water and industrial materials. I was interested in how simple means - water and plastic - could be used to create a complex visual effect. The drops act like small lenses that refract the light and transform the surface into an abstract pattern.
The atmosphere I want to create with this painting is calm, but at the same time full of energy. It is about the interplay of nature and technology, of chance and control. The drops symbolise transience, while the plastic material stands for permanence and artificiality.
In interior design, this picture looks like a modern still life. It brings colour, depth and structure to the room and is particularly suitable for minimalist or technically inspired environments, where it can act as a calm but expressive accent.
