Zaanse mill the Seeker at the Zaanse Schans.
Defying the storm on the Kalverringdijk stands the oil mill de Zoeker. The storm blows through the mill sails and the waves of the zaan pound on the kalverringdijk. The gray skies above the mill, the foam heads on the Zaan. The river, chased by the storm, turns into a swirling mass of water. The mill braves the storm blowing over the Zaan landscape.
The Zaanse Schans is actually always a source of inspiration even on sunny days. But when beautiful clouds float above or a storm blows up the landscape, I can enjoy that enormously. Then I think of paintings by old masters.
The Zaanse landscape with its windmills still visible here and there is a feast for the eyes. Modern industry surrounds the mills but they are still there.
Zaankanteropavontuur walking or cycling armed with the camera through the Zaan region.
Zaankanteropavontuur.
Always on adventure and looking for industrial landscapes and details. And I do a lot of street photography. Walking through the streets, old villages and city centers.
I photograph mainly with an analogue Yashica 635 and a Ricoh AF 5.
