Ponta Sao Laurenco is a peninsula, in the north east of Madeira. For this image, in went out early, to capture the sunrise. From the car park, it was another half-hour walk, to the top of this mountain.
After photographing the sunrise, 180 degrees of this view. I went in search of other compositions from this amazing viewpoint.
In this image, you can see the beginning of the peninsula, with the mainland of Madeira behind it. The rugged green cliffs dominate the image in the foreground, where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crash against them. in the background, you can see the village of Canical, with a number of windmills. The dark clouds dominate the top half of this image, taking you into the depths!!!
