Ohara Koson (1877–1945) was a Japanese artist associated with the Shin-hanga movement, a style of woodblock printing. Renowned for his elegant depictions of birds and flowers, Koson created a diverse body of woodblock prints during the Meiji and Taishō eras. His works are characterized by precise details, subtle color schemes, and refined compositions. Koson demonstrated a remarkable skill in capturing the beauty of nature in his art, contributing significantly to the shaping of Japanese printmaking in the early 20th century.
