About ‘A composition in green’ by Jan Talmon
My wife had put a bunch of flowers in a vase and left the leaves she’d removed lying on the kitchen worktop. I took a photo of them, deliberately moving the camera as I did so (intentional camera movement – ICM). By framing the shot so that the subject fills the entire frame, the resulting photo has a limited colour palette.

I’ve been seriously involved in photography for about 10 years now. I don’t have a specific theme. I’m a member of the F8 Photography Group in Roerdalen. For the past three years, I’ve been studying to become a professional photographer in Belgium. In 2025, I completed a mentorship in documentary photography, for which I produced a series of photographs on the theme of ‘Connection in public spaces’.
