About ‘Amersfoort 8’ by John Ouwens

Amersfoort is situated on a flat site in the valley of the Eem River on the edge and east of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The city has a medieval core with moats and ramparts.
The canals were preserved, but the ramparts were partly demolished in the 19th century and replaced by a park, canals and ring roads.
Koppelpoort is a city gate in Amersfoort. The gate is located on the northwest side of the city centre, where the canal system - fed by Heiligenbergerbeek from the southern watergate Monnikendam - leaves the city centre and merges with Flierbeeksingel - the eastern remnant of outer canal belt.

In the late sixties I was born in Rotterdam and after some wanderings I ended up in Kinderdijk, a lovely village in the Alblasserwaard, famous for its windmills and vast polder landscape. About 30 years ago I bought my first SLR camera, the period of regularly going to the development center with my knees buckling to see what results I had shot (and then being proud of the result). What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
