This photo was taken shortly before sunset.

A fishing holiday at the Baltic Sea is a must for every passionate angler. Because the Baltic Sea is not only a wonderful place to relax, but also to pursue your favourite hobby. There are various fishing opportunities on the Baltic Sea: in the Bodden, surf fishing, deep-sea fishing with a cutter or guided fishing tours - there is something for every angler.

The Baltic Sea is a true holiday paradise: endless sandy beaches, small idyllic fishing villages, modern Baltic seaside resorts, venerable Hanseatic towns and unique natural landscapes can all be found here. The Baltic Sea coasts in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have a coastline of around 700 kilometres, not even including the islands, Bodden and lagoon. The Polish Baltic Sea coast has a length of approx. 500 km.

The largest German islands are located in the Baltic Sea: Rügen is the largest island in Germany with an area of 930 square kilometres. Usedom, the second largest island in Germany, is approximately 373 square kilometres in size. Fehmarn follows with around 185 square kilometres.
