The artwork shows a view of the Berlin government district along the River Spree. In the foreground is a modern building with striking concrete architecture and a large, circular window - a characteristic element of the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus. The Spree runs through the picture as a connecting element between the architectural contrasts: On the opposite bank, historic facades and a tree-lined promenade can be seen. An excursion boat on the water adds movement to the scene. The sky is clear and blue, with scattered clouds, which emphasises the summery mood.
The inspiration for this work was the connection between political representation and public space. I was particularly interested in how modern architecture fits into the urban context, conveying both openness and structure. The Spree not only functions as a geographical link, but also as a creative one.
With this picture, I want to create an open, balanced atmosphere - a moment between movement and calm, between function and aesthetics.
In interior design, this work acts as an urban accent with an architectural reference. It is particularly suitable for modern rooms with a clear design language and brings a visual connection between the city, water and space into living or working areas.
