About ‘Burial mound’ by Mark Bolijn
The circular posts in the photo form the backdrop of an ancient burial mound from the Bronze Age (c. 1750 BC).
Grave mounds were used as burial places. It is assumed that these mounds were not only used to give the dead a final resting place, but also for worship.
