About ‘Clay in echo’ by Velvet Dahlia Art

This work was created from clay and later digitally manipulated into a rhythmic set of repeated shapes. Reminiscent of waves gently moving up and down, the pattern evokes a sense of calm and stillness. The round shapes were made by hand and then photographed under natural light, creating a subtle play of shadow and depth. Post-processing enhances the repetition, but retains the softness and craftsmanship of the original material. It is not a computer-generated image, but a combination of tangible handwork and digital repetition.

For me, this work is a visual translation of calm in a busy world. It invites you to look longer, to pause and experience space. The structure is tight but not cold, rather fluid and familiar. The repetition of shapes worked for me meditatively and gave me space in my head.

The work exudes balance and brings an almost physical calm to the space it hangs in. In making it, I found a moment of stillness myself, and I hope to convey that same stillness to the viewer.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
