About the artwork

This is an Augmented Reality animation!

The image is made in 3D and it comes to life using the Augmented Reality technique! All you have to do is download the app 'Artivive', once the app is open point your smartphone at the image. Make sure the image falls well within the frames indicated by the app. Almost immediately, the animation is activated! Now you can also move your phone closer or further away. The app will continue to recognise the image! I made this work in the time just after Corona. I was searching, had lost my work as a drummer and didn't want to go back to that. I started learning 3D animation and experimenting with materials. Even in a 3D programme, you can work with materials! I wanted to make an infinite loop, something earthy, natural, but also a bit alienating. I'm sure this object doesn't exist in real life and yet it has something real in it and because of the earthy colours and the quiet movement, it has a calming effect. You can look at it endlessly and it has a stress-relieving effect. Augmented Reality has something magical in my opinion! I desperately needed it at the time to reinvent myself. This work means a lot to me because the creation process helped me a lot!

I started my career as a professional drummer (I graduated from the Rock Academy in 2003). Besides playing in bands, I also started composing music.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
