About ‘Cows under Martinitoren’ by Anne van Wijk

This work connects two worlds: the tranquillity of the countryside and the silhouettes of the city of Groningen. In the foreground, a few cows graze peacefully in the soft light of the late day, their warm coats contrasting beautifully with the deep green of the grass. Behind them, a high strip of reed and field grass flutters, softly lit by the sun and elegantly bending with the wind. In the distance rises Martinitoren, small but clearly visible, a landmark that gives the landscape an unexpected depth and story.

The composition is special: lots of sky, a thin strip of horizon, and the animals moving precisely in that transitional zone. As a result, the image feels vast, quiet and almost meditative. This is one of those moments you only see when you slow down: cows following their own rhythm, while the world beyond lives on imperturbably.

The atmosphere is calm and contemplative. The work fits beautifully in rural interiors, but also in modern homes where a touch of nature and space is needed. It is a picture that both calms and invites you to look longer, to discover the details, from the cows to the tower on the horizon.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
