About ‘Cruquius Museum, The Netherlands’ by Adelheid Smitt
The Cruquius Museum is housed in Gemaal de Cruquius, one of the three pumping stations with which the Harlemmermeer was pumped dry in the middle of the 19th century. This was the first time that steam pumping stations were used, which made it possible to pump away much larger quantities of water than before.

I got my first camera on my 8th birthday. Now, many cameras later, I have ended up with a 'full-frame' mirrorless camera and my passion for photography has become an important part of my life.
I travel a lot, all over the world, and like to photograph landscapes as well as cities in the blue hour. I hope that my images can inspire you and I would love it if my love for photography can finally make it to your wall.
