About ‘Endless route’ by Jean Pierre

The photograph shows a section of the historic Route 66 in a factual depiction: a two-lane, asphalted country road with a clear, white centre line and contrasting edge markings that stretches straight into the distance. To the right and left are flat, dry plains with low vegetation, scattered bushes and sandy ground; the topography remains predominantly open and uncluttered. Typical signs are visible at the roadside: a faded sign saying "Route 66", a kilometre marker and the occasional small signpost to nearby towns. Development is sparse; there are a few low, retro-style buildings, abandoned petrol stations and billboards whose paint has become dull due to the weather and time.

The lighting mood is clear and neutral, photographed in the late afternoon, so that shadow lengths emphasise the textures of asphalt and terrain without creating dramatic contrasts. The sky is wide and undisturbed, with a few, high veil clouds; the colour scale remains in the mid-blue range. Technically, the perspective is slightly elevated, which creates a clear depth and leading line; the image composition uses the road axis as the central axis for visual orientation. Colour reproduction and sharpness are balanced; details such as crack patterns in the asphalt, accumulations of gravel at the edge and occasional road markings are clearly legible. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
