About ‘Evening view from Christo Rei’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

At dusk, the view from Christo Rei stands like a silent promise over the Atlantic. The sky is already a deep blue, softly streaked with clouds that are slowly losing their colour. Below them, the sea stretches out, calm and wide, as if listening to the last thoughts of the day. The coast of Madeira looms dark, rugged and protective at the same time.
Funchal begins to glow. At first hesitantly, then more and more resolutely, the lights of the city ignite, as if calling out to each other. Streets become golden lines, houses warm dots in the darkness. In the harbour, the cruise ships are brightly lit, like floating dreams between departure and arrival. They carry stories, of distant lands and fleeting encounters, and are reflected in the still water.
The serpentine road on the slope glows like a quiet thought winding its way through the landscape. It connects above and below, near and far, man and nature. Europe does not end here, but opens up - to the ocean, to the night, to the vastness.
At this moment, everything seems to be in balance: the light of the city, the depth of the sea, the breath of the wind. Time slows down and the evening settles over Funchal like a soft, luminous dream.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
