About ‘Fanal Forest VI’ by Anneke Hooijer

When in Madeira, don't miss the Fanal Forest. Fanal Forest, also known as Laurisilva, is one of the most mysterious places on the island. This forest consists mainly of laurel trees and is one of the last laurel forests in the world. As a result, this primeval forest is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is therefore well protected. These trees grew on the island (and in large parts of the rest of Europe) millions of years ago, so you really are stepping into a piece of prehistory.
In less beautiful weather, chances are that the forest is shrouded in mist, which adds immensely to the fairytale and mysterious feel of this place.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
