About ‘Fog on the Gaishorn’ by Marcel Hechler

This photo is the last shot I took on my hike to the Gaishorn. A few minutes later, the mist had swallowed up the entire mountainside — no view downwards, no view of the summit.

I was standing on a narrow ridge, with the birch tree to my left, its autumn leaves still glowing, and the spruce trees to my right, almost black against the pale grey. In between lay the valley, which was fading from view by the second. In the background, the mountain silhouette briefly emerged once more before disappearing completely.

What carried me through that moment was this mixture of cold and warmth: the wet, cool air of the mist — and the rich orange of the leaves, standing on the slope like a small flame.

For me, this image fits perfectly in a place where you can find peace and quiet in subdued lighting: a bedroom, a reading nook, or a living room with warm tones.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
