About ‘Forest cathedral in the evening’ by SW Arts

This beautiful photo is of the Woud dom in the picturesque Rijnsaterwoude in South Holland.
The Woudse dom is a Protestant church and it is one of the oldest churches in the region the largely built-in tower dates from 1554.
A church is called a dom when it is the main church where a bishop sits, the word comes from the Latin domus (house) or dominus (lord) and indicates an important 'House of God' such as the Dom of Cologne, the Dom of Aachen, or the Dom tower in Utrecht.
However, the Woudse Dom never housed a bishop but the Woudse Dom is so named because of its external similarities to the Dom Church in Utrecht.
The light of the evening sun makes the golden numerals of the clock stand out beautifully and the church tower stands out against the beautifully coloured sky.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
