About "Galah cockatoo digital illustration"

About the artwork

A digital drawing of a Galah cockatoo perched on a branch with blue purple and pink flowers. The bird is relaxed on one leg and looks friendly at you with a red eye. You can see from the red eye that it is a female, because the male of this cockatoo has brown eyes. The pink cockatoo (Eolophus roseicapilla) also called rose cockatoo or rosé cockatoo (and: Galah) is one of the most common and widespread cockatoo species in Australia. The species can reach a length of 35 cm and weighs around 300 to 350 grams. This parrot-like bird has a distinctive plumage. A grey coloured back and tail. A pink belly, breast and head with a pale pink crest. The pink cockatoo is a bird endemic to Australia. Here they live in large groups, or in pairs and family groups. It is a bird of open landscapes with trees scattered here and there, a typical cultural follower that prefers areas with fields, meadows and even sports fields and city parks. The pink cockatoo is also bred to be kept as a pet. Keeping this bird should not be taken lightly. They are highly social. Can live up to 60 years in captivity under good conditions. They require a lot of patience and care, but when cared for properly, being noisy is not so bad. If you give them a lot of attention, they also become increasingly quiet.
