This picture shows an abstract close-up of a fabric-like material lying in soft folds. The surface reflects targeted light, creating a play of blue and reddish dots of light. These dots are not a real pattern, but the result of targeted blurring - so-called bokeh - created by a shallow depth of field. The folds create a rhythmic structure that is modelled by light and shadow.
The inspiration for this work was the observation of how light refracts on textile surfaces and creates seemingly new forms in motion. The atmosphere is calm, but at the same time full of tension - an interplay of order and chance. The composition dispenses with representational elements and instead uses an abstract formal language that works through texture, lighting and colour accents.
The picture conveys a sense of depth, structure and subtle energy. It invites interpretation and always appears different depending on the viewing distance and lighting situation. In interior design, it goes particularly well with modern, Scandinavian or industrial styles as well as concepts focussing on materiality and reduction. It harmonises with trends such as "Soft Tech" or "Contemporary Abstraction".
Its speciality lies in the combination of textile character and digital lighting aesthetics - a work that not only decorates rooms, but also complements them structurally.
