About ‘Hembrug area’ by Hans Lok

Old industrial sites always have their own atmosphere. The sheds where machines once stood and, as in the case of the Hembrug site, ammunition and weapons were made now show abandoned and neglected. One of the reasons for the popularity of these locations for start ups, festivals and new restaurants and terraces. That's happening here too, but it doesn't show in this photo. The road is uneven and nature has already had a chance to bloom again. The tree is a wonderful example of this and a dramatic counterpoint to the straight lines of the business workshops and warehouses. An atmosphere with a sense of mystery. What's happening inside, what's around the corner.

Most photographs are created intuitively. It is an image that strikes me, usually a combination of form and color in which a part of reality is framed into an image. The result is a fitting form.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
