About ‘Kinderdijk Lighting Week 2020’ by Ad Jekel
The nineteen 18th century windmills of World Heritage Site Kinderdijk are illuminated every year for one week in September. They were used to keep the land dry and are still operational, although electric pumps have taken their place.
