About ‘Kinderdijk mills’ by Sander Poppe

At the head of a picturesque piece of land, where the river meets a wide ditch, stands one of Kinderdijk's most extraordinary windmills. Not only is this mill a symbol of Dutch cultural heritage, it is also among the most photographed mills in the Netherlands. Many visitors are attracted by the unique view: the little wooden bridge that leads directly to the mill. This gives walkers the feeling of really heading for the famous Kinderdijk mill, surrounded by the characteristic polder landscape and the rustling of reeds.

The Kinderdijk mills are UNESCO World Heritage Sites for a reason. They tell the story of water management, craftsmanship and the Netherlands' unique struggle against water. Especially on sunny days, with beautifully formed cloudscapes as a backdrop, the beauty of this mill comes into its own. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
