About ‘Light through spiral skylight’ by Nanda Engel
Sculpture in which I took as inspiration a photograph of a canopy of trees during autumn. The mixture of the still green leaves, yellow leaves and golden brown leaves with the blue sky led to this fabric. The metal threads combined with the transparent threads turned the flat fabric into a sculpture. With sunlight a beautiful picture.

Weaving with non-obvious materials creates tension differences in the fabric.
When the fabric comes off the loom, an unusual sculpture is created.
