About ‘Lockheed Constellation’ by KC Photography

The Lockheed Constellation was a four-engine propeller-driven aircraft built by the US aircraft manufacturer Lockheed.
Development of the Lockheed Constellation began in 1939. The aircraft was developed at the behest of Howard Hughes, an eccentric millionaire and aviator who at the time held a majority stake in the airline TWA. Hughes wanted a four-engine aircraft with which he could beat all competitors. World War II threw a spanner in the works. Military production took priority, delaying the development of the new aircraft. The first Constellation, soon affectionately called Connie, made its first test flight on 9 January 1943.
The Constellation was further developed in the years after the war. First there was the Constellation, later the Super Constellation and then the Starliner. The fuselage became longer, the engines more powerful, more fuel tanks were added, increasing the flying range, and the aircraft became quieter and safer.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
